Once again I practiced yoga in the light filled studio at Room to Move in Uptown, Port Townsend next to Uptown Pub. My favorite place to go was the farmers market which is held on Saturday on Lawrence Street in Port Townsend. I bought flowers every Saturday, seafood and a baked treat from Crust Pie.
My friend and I took a day trip to Whidbey Island by way of the Keystone Ferry from Port Townsend to Coupeville, Washington. There we visited Bayview Farm and Garden, had lunch at Saltwater Fish and Oyster House, shopped in Langley and stopped for pie at Whidbey Pies. Teresa had summer peach and I had triple berry made with marion berries, logan berries and blueberries. Yum!
One of the highlights of August was a day trip to Victoria, British Columbia on the Coho ferry boat from Port Angeles, Washington. My friend Teresa and I walked on the ferry boat which is a 90 minute ride and spent the day sightseeing and had lunch there. We took the self directed tour of the parliament buildings, walked through the Fairmount Empress Hotel and surrounding gardens, shopped along Government Street up to Chinatown and had lunch at Irish Times at Bastion Square.
My last weekend there my friends came to visit from the Bellingham, Washington area. We had a lovely time going to the farmers markets, walking on the beach at Fort Worden, shopping and dining on Water Street and playing scrabble.
